Cast natural Polyamide 6 (PA6 G). PA6 G semi-finished products are obtained through anionic polymerization of caprolactam. This process allows for the production of large-sized semi-finished products that cannot be achieved through the extrusion process. Cast PA6 is known for its high mechanical strengths in terms of tensile, compressive and flexural properties. Additionally, cast PA6 offers excellent resistance to wear and abrasion, allowing the material to maintain its mechanical properties even under repeated mechanical stress over time. Its toughness allows for its use as a replacement for metals in applications such as bushings, gears, pulleys and sprockets, taking advantage of the significant weight difference. Cast PA6 also exhibits good chemical resistance, enabling it to withstand many organic solvents, oils, and chemicals. However, it's important to consider that its chemical resistance may vary depending on the type of chemical agent and specific usage conditions.

  • Wear resistance, even for heavy-duty applications.
  • Tensile and compressive strength, with higher hardness compared to extruded PA6 and improved fatigue resistance.
  • Aging resistance, performs well against atmospheric agents.
  • Antistatic behavior linked to moisture absorption.
  • Color natural.
  • It is hygroscopic, although to a lesser extent than extruded PA6.
